Content
 In the Netherlands the use of lithography was introduced slowly compared to abroad. Initially, the quality was also somewhat less. The quality, however, of the hand-coloured prints in this album is excellent. The publisher, Frans Buffa, was trying to compete with the popular hand-coloured line etchings in the costume books of Evert Maaskamp.
