Nederlandse Boekgeschiedenis is a continuation of Bibliopolis. Bibliopolis was a website that offered advanced search options in book historical texts and datasets between 2002 and 2025. Bibliopolis was the result of the project "History of the Printed Book in the Netherlands", initiated and executed by the KB in the period 1998-2002. The production of Bibliopolis was financially supported by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research NWO, and carried out in collaboration with the universities of Amsterdam, Leiden, Nijmegen and Utrecht and the Dutch Book Historical Association.
