Content
 In the upper picture a mother is taking her son to a bookshop. In an accompanying text (not seen in this reproduction) children are advised to read as much as possible. Below, the girl on the left has bought a book: she is putting the money into the hand of the bookseller. New categories of books arrived in the 18th century such as the novel, the periodical, novelettes and also the children's book.
