Content
 Portrait of the type cutter Joan Michael Fleischman (1707-1768) born in Wörd near Nuremberg. After having worked in Germany for some years he settled in Amsterdam and later also for a few years in Haarlem, where he cut types for Joannes Enschedé in particular. Fleischman is considered one of the most important type cutters working in the Netherlands.
