Content
 This imposing folio edition from the Elzeviers of Leiden was bound in a sturdy leather binding with copper fastenings. This type of regularly decorated binding is characteristic of monastic libraries in the Southern Netherlands in the seventeenth- century. This corresponds with the source of the book: it was the property of a Jesuit monastery in Antwerp.
