Content
 A mould used for making handmade paper. It consists of a frame with cross ribs, the `stevens'. Across these ribs, copper wires were stretched close together, so that during dipping the superfluous water could go through, but not the fibres. On these stretched wires a figure or text made from copper wire could be added: the watermark.
