The books from the Librije of Edam are now kept by the Royal Library in The Hague. After having fallen into oblivion for a long time, they were given on loan to this institution in 1934. In the KB, the books are kept in the Special Collections repository, under good climatic conditions. The extent of the original collection is unknown, but 155 titles have been preserved in 108 volumes; they have been described in the catalogue Boeken uit de librije van Edam (1984). Aqpart from the usual sermons and textbooks, the collection contains works by major reformers such as Luther, Calvin and the less known Bullinger. However, other titles were also available for consultation, such as works by Erasmus and the famous Book of Martyrs by Opmeer.
