 The first volume of "De Katholieke Illustratie", a weekly periodical for the Roman Catholic family, which existed for some 100 years. It was a lavishly illustrated magazine (with wood engravings) with something for everyone. It was an immediate, great success. Within a few years this magazine was read in 50,000 households.
