Content
 The first Dutch edition appeared in 1848 of "Lustige Geschichten und drollige Bilder, mit 20 schön colorirten Tafeln für Kinder von 3-6 Jahren" by Heinrich Kinderlieb, (Heinrich Hoffmann), published in later editions under the title of "Der Struwwelpeter". Countless reprints appeared between 1848 and 1884 of the Dutch "Piet de Smeerpoets" in varying formats of which a total of more than 170,000 copies were sold. A jubilee edition appeared in 1898, fully lithographed after the first edition of 1848. This lithographic stone was used for it.
