This catalogue of books published in the Netherlands which could be seen at the world fair in Philadelphia in 1876 amounted to 240 pages and gives, with its 2098 numbers with price indication, a broad and very varied impression of the book production in the Netherlands in those days. Not only the prestigious editions were on show but also the `ordinary' books and even newspapers such as the Veendammer Advertentieblad and the Nieuwe Boeren-Goudmijn.
