Content
A satirical catalogue - a genre that came into existence in France in the 16th century - is a catalogue of an imaginary collection drawn up with the intention of ridiculing someone or something or to make them look foolish. Everything on this title page is therefore absurd. This sizeable catalogue of J. al te Geleerd (All too Learned) refers to an imaginary person and the titles are concerned with upbringing, decency and social situations and abuses.
