This dataset can be searched for data on Dutch book auctions and for catalogues of auction, fund, warehouse and antiquarian catalogues. The data originate from three source files that can be searched simultaneously. It is possible to exclude one or more files from the search.

The glossary provides an explanation of over 1000 terms that are important when studying the history of the printed book in the Netherlands. Synonyms and related terms are also listed for each term. The definitions in the glossary are based on various reference works. When a source is quoted literally, the definition is provided with a literature reference.

This dataset contains descriptions of articles and monographs from the period from ca. 1850 to 2017 on the history of the printed book in the Netherlands (and Belgium until 1600). These articles and books are all present in the KB, either in original or in copy. The file contains over 14,000 titles and was regularly supplemented until 2017.

Here you can search for concise biographical data on Dutch booksellers, printers and publishers up to the year 2000. The data originate from six source files that can be searched simultaneously. It is possible to switch off one or more files when searching. The data has not been maintained after 2010 and may be outdated compared to the biographical datasets that are still maintained. To do so, visit the source files themselves, e.g.: NTA, STCN printers and authors thesaurus.
